Catch a glimpse of this - through my eyes.

This morning I gave myself the luxury of taking time out to enjoy a walk - not a power walk, but a real old-fashioned walk, slow and deliberate, and feast my eyes on the beautiful Autumn/Fall sights around me. 

What a struggle with my monkey-mind. It kept rushing off to the things  I had to do; My next course to complete, then blog to write,  my coaching clients and prospects, all going round in  my mind.  Oh my word! The endless chattering. I realized, "no use fighting it, let it be and allow it to pass through."

And finally, I saw  the gift of becoming present to what was around me. So here goes, let me share my eyes with you.

The magnificence of the Autumn/Fall colors is something to behold. Tall trees and short trees, and fat and  thin trees, and shrubs, all in different phases of heralding in the change of season, ever faithful. Colors of gold and yellow, and orange and rust, and brown and red brown, and the many shades of green! OMG!  Can you picture it? 

 Also, there a squirrel darting up a tree... a humming bird with it's endless flapping wings..a blackbird perched high on the branches of a Californian oak, a little yellow daisy forcing its way through the concrete pavement... a citrus tree producing it's seasonal fruit, and there, a man and his dog enjoying a morning walk... and it seems, rain threatening.  I hope you're taking a moment to see all this through my eyes. 

I gazed at these magnificent beauties and was deeply touched.  A moment of sartori. I was lost in awe and wonder and filled with gratitude and appreciation for these many gifts to us - when we stop to look.

It was so worth the time away from the desk to take in the sheer  beauty Mother Nature offers us every day, in its various forms, all waiting for us to notice and appreciate. We don't even have to wait to get away to the ocean or forest, because the beauty it on our doorstep.

Grab a moment to go outside and see all the beauty through your own eyes.  

Probably far removed from 'business' but for me, an essential addition to a busy day.
